Alpacas

The first picture is of SUPERSURIS Hurricanne. He is one of our herdsires.  All 8 of the babies born at Granite Ridge in '09 were offspring of Hurricanne. He imparts his excellent luster, lock and stature on all of his cria. Hurricane is the son of MacLuster and grandson of MacGyver, both of which won Grand Champion Ribbons at most of the major shows available. The four babies pictures are of his offspring.

This group of photos is the various offspring from Uber's Trudy. She is our redhead that can give a baby any color of the dad. Trudy's father was El Rey Negro de Bolivia. He was all black which gives Trudy the genes to offer color variety. The photo of her with this years cria, Cody shows the light brown color produced with Hurricanne.

Annie's Girl is the blue ribbon showgirl of the farm. this picture of her was taken after she won Blue Ribbon at the Alpacapalooza in western Washington. Her fleece is very lusterous and loaded with lock as you can tell from her first fleece before shearing.

This fine fleece beauty produces the finest fleece on the ranch. Xena feels as soft as a cloud when you touch her neck. it appears that her cria Buffy came out with a champagne color like her dad Hurricanne.  She has the luster that daddy was famous for and should produce the finest fleece of all.

This is McLaren. One of our herdsires. McLaren has won numerous awards and produced many crias that went on to win their own awards at shows across the country. McLaren is the son of Mahogany Prince, the highest selling suri alpaca to date. So this indicates the genes of high quality are there just waiting to be joined up with your females. McLaren's stud price is $3500 per pregnancy.
